Who is the course for?
This course is intended for construction operatives who require a general overview of health and safety issues and how these issues will affect their day-to-day activities. This course may also be used as refresher training suggested to be at intervals of no more than five years.
Course Aims and Benefits
To give construction operatives an awareness of Health and Safety and how it affects their daily role.
Course Content
The course will cover individuals` responsibilities for the safety of themselves and others, typical construction hazards and how they are controlled, and how everyone can help achieve better practical standards of safety on site. The course content includes: Legal requirements and liabilities; Working at height; Manual handling; Fire prevention and Work equipment.
Training Methods
Tutorials, example CSCS Health and Safety Test questions and continuous assessment.
Qualification/Certification
This course can be used as the preparation training for the CSCS Health and Safety Test or as refresher training for operatives.
