Aim
To provide delegates with an understanding of :-
- Responsibilities of individuals
- The Safety Management Sysytem
- The legal, moral and financial reasons for good health and safety standards.
- Understanding the reasons for Risk Assessment Method Statement / Task Sheets.
- Hazard identification and how to responed.
Objectives
By the end of the training, delegates will :-
- Have an understanding of individuals responsibilities in Health and Safety
- Have an understanding of the Company Safety Management System
- Have an understanding of the most relevant construction health and safety legislation.
- Be aware of their responsibilities for health and safety and the role of the HSE.
- Appreciate the growing importance the Company attaches to health and safety through Risk Assessment method Statement / Task Sheets.
- Be able to identify Hazards and take the appropriate action.
Evaluation
Through a combination of :-
- Delegate input and discussion during the course
- Formal question period at end of course
