Management of Temporary Works
Aim
To provide delegates with an understanding of the safety risks associated with temporary works and the procedures for ensuring that temporary works are designed, constructed, maintained and dismantled safely.
Objectives
By the end of the training, delegates will have a good working knowledge of: -
- The scope of temporary works in construction and their associated risks.
- Relevant safety standards – legislation, guidance and procedures.
- The role of the Temporary Works Co-ordinator in implementing the above safety standards.
- The risk based approach to the classification of temporary works.
- The safety requirements for each category of temporary works.

Delegates
Primarily site based line management responsible for any type of temporary works.
Tutors
Safety Trainers with inputs from local senior manager and safety manager

- Delegate input and discussion during the course
- Exercises
- Test paper at end of course
- Post course questionnaire
